Create AssetHub NFT / Asset

This article focuses on how to create your AssetHub NFT / Asset on AirLyft.

What are AssetHub NFT and AssetHub Assets?​

Asset Hub is a specialized parachain on the Polkadot network that provides functionality for deploying and transferring assets, including both fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

AssetHub NFTs​

NFTs on the Asset Hub are a type of digital asset where each token is unique, meaning the particular instance of a non-fungible asset (NFT) has a separate meaning from another instance of the same class. Click here to learn more about AssetHub NFTs.

AssetHub Assets​

These are assets that are managed and facilitated by the Asset Hub, a specialized parachain on Polkadot designed for handling and managing digital assets across various applications. Assets in the Asset Hub can be represented on several chains and can take many forms, from a parachain's native token to on-chain representations of off-chain reserves.

Creating AirToken​

There are two ways to create AssetHub NFT / Asset. You can either create them from the AirToken tab, or you can click on Create New Token while adding a reward to your campaign.

Create a Token within campaign​

  • In order to create AirToken from the Rewards, go to the Rewards tab under your campaign, and choose Substrate Token or AssetHub NFT and then choose AirToken Giveaway.

  • Click on the Select an AirToken dropdown, and click on Create New Token.

Create a Token through AirTokens page​

  • You can also go to the AirToken page where you can find your existing tokens or create a new one. Lets create a new AirToken by clicking on the Create AirToken button available on top right corner of the screen.

  • A new window pops up asking you to select the type of AirToken you want to create. Select AssetHub NFT / Token from the list of options.

  • Next, you will now need to enter the AssetHub NFT details such as:
    • The blockchain on which you want to deploy
    • Asset Type (NFT or Asset)
    • Token Name
    • Token Description
    • Token Ticker/Symbol
    • Whether to make the token soul bound or transferable

AssetHub NFT Creation

  • After you select the blockchain, you'll get a wallet address, you'll need to deposit some tokens to that address to pay for the gas.

  • After filling in all the details and transferring tokens to the given wallet address, click on Create button to create your NFT/Asset.
